Rebecca Ingram

As a family run business, we really care about the brands we work with and the dresses we stock which is why we’re so keen to promote and appreciate the brands we have in the boutique.

Unlike many big bridal boutiques, it’s our manager who does all the buying of the dresses and handpicks the designers we stock to help our brides be confident they’ve got the best selection to choose from.

We’ve turned a spotlight on a couple of our designers already such as Maggie Sottero and Pronovias and today we’re going to be looking a little deeper into the Rebecca Ingram collection.

The Brand

What many brides to be don’t know is that Rebecca Ingram is, in fact, an extension of the Maggie Sottero brand. Relatively new to the bridal scene, Sottero launched the Rebecca Ingram collection in 2016 to be a range of gowns to inspire brides on a budget.

Filled with timeless pieces at affordable prices, there’s nothing shocking or daring to be found in the Rebecca Ingram collection but instead, the range has stunning and chic dresses in abundance for brides with a simpler style to choose from.

The name and concept for the collection were inspired by Maggie Sottero’s daughter. The collection is a true nod to Rebecca’s passion for beautifully elegant designs made to a high quality for attainable prices.

The Designers

Unlike the core Maggie Sottero collection where the designers dated all the way back through the Sottero family tree, Rebecca Ingram bridal is a new collection so the designers have been led by more modern inspiration.

Always keeping Rebecca’s design style at their core, the team of designers have a younger, fresher outlook on these significant white dresses than many other brands. The designers take inspiration from traditional, timeless styles as opposed to modern trends but still ensure these classic style features are blended perfectly with 21st-century style staples that modern brides want to see.

The Dresses

As the aim of the Rebecca Ingram collection is to have a timeless dress for every bride on a budget, the range of dresses in the collection cover all bases. Whether you want traditional princess style, modern mermaid or something more boho chic, you’ll find the design you want in this line.

Timeless and affordable doesn’t mean compromising on the wow factor with this collection. There’s plenty of detail and embellishment to be found throughout the range. From lace to crystals, sweetheart necklines to keyhole backs, the design features chosen are all classic bridal trends and fit the theme of timeless elegance and simplicity to perfection.

Our Favourites From the Range

We love all our brands here at Maria Modes but we can’t help but appreciate the selling point of the Rebecca Ingram collection which offers stunning gowns to lower budget brides.

Here are a few of our top Rebecca Ingram dresses from the selection in our showroom:

Juniper

The definition of boho chic, the Rebecca Ingram Juniper dress is an understated, flowing white bridal gown that is all about the bodice. A crochet style bodice with a deep V-shaped neckline and spaghetti straps steals the show but it’s the chiffon floor length skirt that begins at the waist that adds a touch of effortless elegance to this gown.

The unique top half adds real interest to the gown and always catches brides’ eyes in the showroom. Finished to perfection with a low back with a scalloped edge, every touch of this dress has been thought about to the finest detail.

Grace

A complete contrast to the above gown, the Rebecca Ingram Grace dress is a truly stunning and show-stopping number that is the perfect choice for a bride who wants to turn heads when she walks down the aisle.

A relatively simple strapless bodice with sweetheart neckline and low scooping back but it’s the skirt that really catches your eye with the Grace dress by Rebecca Ingram. Accentuating from the waist, this tulle ruffled skirt cascades to the floor with a truly dramatic feel and trails shortly behind. The smooth skirt is contrasted by lace applique and beading on the bodice, once again demonstrating how these dresses are finished to perfection with timeless additions.

Laynie

A perfect example of how the Rebecca Ingram collection embraces the mermaid style, the Rebecca Ingram Laynie dress is a truly classic version of the fit and flare shape.

A deep sweetheart neckline sits at the top of a tight-fitting bodice that hugs the figure until widening at mid-thigh into a soft and slowly flowing flared skirt. The whole gown features lace applique in a contrasting colour to stand out and the skirt is finished with a scalloped hem which trails behind for a little added glamour.

The figure-hugging silhouette never goes out of style hence it has earned its place in the Rebecca Ingram collection.

Rebecca Ingram truly is an inspiring collection in every sense of the word. It provides hope and positivity to brides with lower budgets, reassuring them that they can and will walk down the aisle looking like a princess on their big day.
