Bride & Groom walking with another couple.

Maria Modes has been situated in the heart of Macclesfield for over 15 years and has become a go-to destination for the women of Cheshire when it comes to sourcing their wedding dresses but it’s fair to say that we’re less well known for our selection of groomswear.

We care about the groom as much as we do the bride, especially when it comes to how they look on the big day which is why we’ve carefully chosen the best selection of men’s wedding attire available to hire or buy to suit your situation.

We’ve already given you a look at the top groomswear trends of 2018 and today we’re going to be giving you an insight into the menswear department at Maria Modes and letting you know what your visit to our showroom could look like.

Before You Arrive

Once you’ve popped the question and the planning process for your big day has begun, we recommend booking an appointment to visit our showroom with your bride, well in advance of when you’ll need your suits.

We recommend starting the suit shopping process far earlier than you feel you need to because this part of wedding planning can end up taking far longer than you think, especially when you’re trying to get suits for a big group of groomsmen.

You can always pop into our showroom but to ensure we have a member of our team ready to take care of you, we always suggest arranging a time with us for your visit. The reason we recommend bringing your bride with you for your first suit shopping visit is to ensure you’re both on the same page about what look you want for the big day because things can get a little overexcited when all your groomsmen get involved.

Your First Visit

When you head to our showroom for your first visit, we try to keep things as welcoming, friendly and organised as possible.

Trying on suits is something that fears so many men, so we understand that you might be feeling a little less enthusiastic than your bride at this point. Once you’ve arrived, one of our team will be introduced to you as your personal shopper for the visit, they’ll take care of you throughout your time in the showroom and work closely with you to find the perfect suits.

We have a range of refreshments available for the duration of your shopping which you will be offered on arrival before being shown to our groomswear department and your private area where you will be trying on your suits.

The main goal of your first visit is for you and your bride to decide on the suits you want for the big day. You can take this time to explore our collection with the member of our team who is working with you, discuss styles and colours you’re interested in for the big day and try on as many outfits as you like.

We aim to make sure that every couple leaves our showroom after their first visit having picked the suit they wish to have for their whole grooms’ party on the big day, ready for the rest of the groomsmen to try on in a following visit.

Following Visits and Fittings

Once you and your bride have picked a suit on your first visit, we’ll arrange another appointment with you when you can bring in all the men you want wearing the suit on the day for a fitting with us.

Similarly to your first visit, we will allocate a member of our team to your party who will take all of your measurements, introduce your groomsmen to the suit and let them know of any options within the outfit, such as different trouser fits.

Once all your groomsmen have been measured, we will order in all the suits you need in the sizes you require and arrange a future appointment for you all to come back in and try on the suits.

Once your suits are all back in store, we will give you a call to confirm or change the appointment we had provisionally booked for you to come in and try on the suits and once that date arrives, you and your party just need to arrive at the time arranged and we’ll do the rest of the organising for you.

Once you arrive for your final fitting, you will once again be greeted by a dedicated member of our team and shown to a private fitting area where we will then distribute the suits and ensure everyone’s fits to perfection.

If any further alterations are required, we can arrange for these to be made but if all the suits fit as you hoped, you can now take these away.

If you are purchasing the suits, you can make any remaining payments and take your suits away but if you’re hiring, you can make any outstanding payments and arrange a return date with our team.

After Your Visit

Once your final fitting is finished and you’ve taken your suits ready for the big day, that doesn’t mean you can’t get in touch if you have a problem. If you need any sizing changes or you need any additional accessories, we will always do our best to help get everything in place for your special occasion.

If you hired your suits, you’ll already have arranged a time and date to return the suits and that will be the final part of the process for your wedding suits but if you bought your suits, you’ll just need to continue wearing and enjoying your suit after your wedding is over.

Whether you hire or buy, we’d love to see you sporting your suits on the big day, so tag us in your pictures on Facebook and Instagram.
